City Weekend has uploaded its Winter 2007 Parents & Kids supplement issue onto their website.

In December my family and I were featured, along with Karen Patterson of the NU2YU Baby Shop and Roxanna Duarte of Sparrows Cafe, in an article on self employed, expat moms here in Beijing.  Special thanks to CW and Amanda Inz-Brown for taking the time to focus on some small business owners here in Beijing, and on the issue of balancing families and work.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out, and its been great for business.

The Big Eight-Oh!

80.

That’s the number of children in Beijing that have enrolled in classes offered by Kindermusik with Sarah as of today.  And there are still people registering!

I cannot thank you all enough.  For your excitement about sharing the joy of music with your children, for the warmth and laughter you bring to class each week, and most of all for your faith in me as I have worked to get Kindermusik established here in Beijing.

Thank you.  Without you, its just me and some egg shakers.  And that’s hardly any fun at all.

ABC Music & Ganeinu International School

Posted by kmwithsarah on 11 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: KM Information, Useful Information

I am proud to announce that Ganeinu International School is the first school in Beijing to offer ABC Music & Me by Kindermusik as part of their school curriculum.

I look forward to meeting and working with your students later this month.  Classes begin Tuesday January 23rd, 2007, and will be offered every Tuesday morning thereafter until the end of the school year.  Unit One is On The Go, a transportation themed unit, for both the nursery and kindergarten classes.  In April, separate units will be available for each age level.  Every unit of ABC Music & Me features a set of At Home Materials with a CD and Family Activity Guide so that the musical learning and fun can continue at home.  Students will also receive an age appropriate instrument bimonthly that is yours to keep.  Look for a wooden train whistle in late January, and be sure to label it with your child’s name!

Questions from parents are welcome at any time, either through the school or directly to me via e-mail or phone.  You are also welcome to observe your child’s class at any time.  Please contact Dini Freundlich if you would like to arrange a visit.

Welcome to Kindermusik Ganeinu International School!  I look forward to making music with you this spring.
