Sarah Peel Director of LaFaFa Music, Lead Educator
| | | Sarah opened Kindermusik with Sarah, mainland China's first Kindermusik programme, shortly after arriving in Beijing in June 2006. Before coming to China, Sarah spent four years in Japan working with students of all ages as a member of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme in Hiroshima Prefecture. She was also a proud member of the Hosting Staff for the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2005, held in Aichi, Japan.
A graduate of Mount Allison University, music has always been a part of Sarah's life. As a child she studied piano and sang in many community choirs. Later she discovered a love of jazz and continued to play baritone saxophone and flute in various ensembles until her move to Japan. Once there, the demands of full time work and the reality of living in small apartments made music appreciation and singing in the shower her creative outlets. She is thrilled to finally have the chance to bring her love of music and working with kids together in her professional life.
Kindermusik International has recognized Sarah as a Kindermusik Maestro Producer since 2007. Maestro Producers are educators who, as a result of building a truly expansive program, have proven masterful in reaching large numbers of families with the Kindermusik experience. |
